BEST ACHIEVEMENT OUTSIDE ANGLING? My son Sydney.
IF I'M NOT FISHING, I NORMALLY PREFER TO BE . . .
on my bike or watching Birmingham City F.C
WHAT'S YOUR EARLISEST FISHING MEMORY My dad taking me fishing down the River Meese on my foldable stool bought by my grandad. Fishing “the pipe" peg and I toppled in off my stool. 7 years of age.?
WHO'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST ANGLING INFLUENCE? I just watch people better than me and see what I can pick up....most other anglers then!
Woodcote Priory or Penkridge Willows, Spring Pool.
WHO'S YOUR FAVOURITE ANGLER?
BEST ANGLING MATE (S)?
Tony Austin or Phil Bowen.
Tench closely followed by roach
WHAT'S YOUR PREFERRED FISHING METHOD?
Paste or short for silver’s.
BEST ANGLER YOU'VE FISHED WITH?
BEST WEIGHT OF FISH?
88lb, Penkridge Willows, or the record on Honeysuckle Canal, Newport of 50lb silver’s.
FUNNIEST FISHING MOMENT?
My old mate Fruit. Finished the match on the Shroppy at Knighton, went back to the club for the presentation. Gone dark and still no sign of him. 1 hour later went looking for him and found him on his back like a turtle trying to right himself at the bottom of the steps with his box and rod bag weighing him down. Gone but never forgotten!!!
IF YOU COULD DRAW ANY PEG ON A VENUE, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Peg 1 Woodcote Priory.
BIGGEST FRESHWATER FISH YOU'VE CAUGHT?
11lb mirror on peg 14 at Long Lane. Horri me big carp.
IMy mate Fruit or John Davies always gives me a chuckle. He’s always banging and clattering, getting tangled at least once a week and usually ends up breaking something
iIF YOU COULD CHANGE ANGLING WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU MAKE??
Remove the ready made carp puddles rammed full of fish where no skill is required, but in place just to feed the lazy appetite of today’s generation
Thanks Dave, great answers and don't forget to check out his Fishing videos on you tube search for BertieBagger.
