Founded in the 1950's by Friends from Serck Audco, the club started with just one water (The Slang) near Newport and just a handful of mates. Serck Audco Angling Club is now a well known and respected club within Shropshire / Stafforshire with over 150 members and, 2 stretches of canal and 2 pools!
The club can boast a good range of fishing to suit all tastes, whether it's canals, pools or, offering a wide range of species silvers & Bream, or Carp & Tench, or Pike, Chub or Eels! Auco can offer Anglers young or old a decent days fishing, in some of the most beautiful surroundings found in the country.
Audco run matches across some of their waters, but ALWAYS leave at least one Pool open, for example there is never a match on Long Lane Pool and Bearcroft Pool on the same day, and never twice in same weekend. One of the most popular events in the match calender is that of the annual charity Match, which is in aid of Macmillian Nurses, this event is a pairs event and usually uses the Newport Canal stretch of canal along with the Honeysuckle length.
The club are also affiliate members of the Angling Trust.
