Dave Matson won the series made it a hatrick of series wins, by taking the leage again in 2019. This equals a recent record set by Ron Mullinder a few years back. It was over with several matches to go and it was the remaining 4 places that we're being contested (pay out for top 5). Stuart Miles took runner up spot, narrowly beating Ron Mullinder who finished 3rd. Phil Bowen and Roy Biddulph shared the 4th spot prize.
Well done and thanks to all those who attended this years leage which saw some good matches across varied venues again, next year will be similar venues. We saw six different winners across the 11 arounds, with each round paying at least top 3 and the overal league pot being split between the top 5. So there was always something to fish for and interest levels remained right through. Anyone out there want to test their match fishing skills, then contact Stuart Miles or Bob Pritchard to book on for next year as spaces will go fairly quickly!
Dates for 2020 will soon be annouced check back here for more details!
Following the successful extension of the lease on Bearcroft Pool, the club are pleased to notify memebers that several hundred small Carp have been added to the water. These fish are around 6-10" at present but will give the venue a boost. This part of the clubs on-going commitment to water management and refreshing fish stocks.
Fancy introducing a friend to the club or have a non member friend who would like to fish Long Lane Pool? Why not book on to the inviation match on 6th October 2019?
The club have learnt of the recent passing of another fellow Angler and true gent. It is with sad regret we report that Steve Brown of Dawley Angling society has passed away. Our thoughts are with his family / friends and all at Dawley AC at this side time.
The next round of the Audco League has been switched to our own water Long Lane on Sunday. This is due to very high water levels on Parkers Pool in Telford. Many of the pegs are underwater due to the huge rainfall we've seen this week! So the draw and match time are the same but it's now at Long Lane. Apologies to any club anglers for short notice, however Bearcroft Pool (Hinstock), Newport Canal and the stretches of the Shropshire union are available on Sunday.
The 4th round of the league was contested on Sunday. Thirteen Anglers turned out for the round with warm weather, despite lots of spwaning fish the venue produced well and again it was different winner for this round! With Dave Matson keeping up trend of a different winner each round!

Following the recent news of the sad loss of our club president and more recenlty our treasurer Mr John Buttery, we can confirm that a service will be held for John at the Telford Crematorium on Friday 28th September @ 12:30pm with the wake being held at the Swan at Forton afterwards. No flowers please, but donations are welcomed for Leukaemia research.
It is with great sadness that we report the loss of two inspritional Club legends this week. We heard about the loss of our cherished club president Mr Alan Smallman only two weeks back and no sooner that news was digested that we learnt of the sad passing of our good friend and club Treasurer, Mr John Buttery.
No words can explain the shock and grief felt at this time, both we're fundamental in the running of our beloved fishing club, and both dedicated much time to cause and will truly be very sadly missed. Their hardwork, passion and determination to help make Audco AC what is it today and give joy to many of our members can't be overstated.
Alan was a founder member of the club and his allegiance to Audco AC streches back to the 1950's. John was also at the helm of the committee for over 20 years, both guys were a credit to the sport as well as the club and we are proud to have worked and fished alongside such gentleman. We have many fond memories of our time spent fishing alongside them as well as working with them to make the club the best it could be, we hope to continue their great work and ensure their legacy remains.
Our hearts and sympathy go out to their familys at this very difficult time. The club will make further annoucements in due course.
We would just like to confirm that we've managed to secure the lease on Bearcroft Pool for the next 12months. Memebers may continue to fish the venue as normal.
Audco section was used for one set of pairs.
The Winners of the 2018 Macmillian match were Richard Cavey & Tony Tuner with 7 pts, runners up (on weight) with 8 points was Joe Duce & Pete Jones. Pete Lee was winner of the overall match (and Honeysuckle section with a fantastic 23lb) and Phil Bowen won the Audo stretch with 9lb 12 (see match results for further breakdown)
