The autumn matches from Hodnet start in October and Audco anglers are welcome to join them on the various Sunday Shropshire Union matches.  Just let Phil Bowen know who can inform Tony (Hodnet)

Also club AGM is to be held on 6th November. Any proposals should be sent into Committee by October meeting (2nd Oct).

The series match on Parkers has been rescheduled for Sunday October 26th. 

Rods memorial Match is on Apley Pool on Saturday 27th, Rod only match min entry £15 Book on if you wish to attend.  Dontations welcome :)

The club have reliquished the fishing rights on Newport Canal from next year (Mar 26). We are able to still fish the Honeysuckle stretch thants to Honeysuckle AC kind arrangement. Due to issues with maintenance on the canal and regular weed problems it was decided not to renew from 2026

The charity pairs match takes place on Saturday 7th June on the SUC at Honesty box and Oak tree. Draw is 8:30am (fish 10am-3pm), £25 per pair to enter. 

Peg upgrade works continue on Long lane with work being carried out on peg 2 and peg 5.

RULE UPDATE **** PLEASE NOTE NO FLOATING BAITS ARE ALLOWED ON ANY OF THE CLUB WATERS. THIS IS RULE CHANGE THAT CAME IN ON 1st JUNE 2025 **** 

This is to ensure fish welfare and also to protect birds on the venues. We appreciate your attenion to this rule change.

The Hodnet exchange match has been rescheduled from 20th July (Sunday) and now it will take place on Saturday 5th July.  

Mar 2025

Hinstock village have announced some dates for events which will effect those wanting to park by the pool, it'll be busy for these events.  12th April - The village have a Easter egg bonaza, craft fair and a classic car meet at village hall. 

July 5th is the "Party in the Park" event and that will run on football fields, village hall car park and Falcoln inn.  Starting at 1pm and running to 9pm. It's highly likely that some setting up will take place on the Friday afternoon evening too. 

Feb 2025

Regular Bearcroft Matches for February will take place (Weds & Saturdays), book in if you wish to fish but always room for pleasure anglers.

New 2025 Cards are now available from usual outlets  / people £30 for Adult and £22 for O.A.P (Juniors remain at £10).  Oakengates Tackle Telford and Newport Sports Newport. 

Next Silver match is on Sunday 19th January at Long Lane, need to book on if you wish to Fish! 

No January 2025 club meeting next meeting will be first Thursday in February (6th Feb)

Bearcroft pool lease has been renewed for next 4 years.
