Audco Angling Club

Bolas Pool

This is the most recent pool added to the card. This pool is a large deep lake, set in unrivaled scenic country, and is by far one of the most peaceful venues in the county! The was re-stocked with small Carp in 2005, these were added to an already impressive stock og big grass Carp, specimem Bream, Chub, Roach and Perch.

Bolas Pool is a challenging venue, offering the angler many choices of tactics and fishing styles, and as an added bonus the pool comes with a stretch of the River Meese directly behind some of the pegs!! The pegs have been worked on and they are flatter and some have platforms to fish from.

The first thing which comes to mind here is the depth of the pool. Long rigs are the order of the day here, as the average peg has a depth of 9-12ft, with some touching 14ft!!! There are a few visable features on the lake, but a fallen tree on the far side is one of the more obvious fish holding spots, as are the grass reeds in the margins.
